Winning start for British GPs in World Medical Football Championship

The British Medical Football team beat Australia 5-0 in its first game in the 2014 World Medical Football Championship in Brazil.

'Doctor Goals' , GP trainee Dr Kenny Deuchar, scored twice on his debut alongside a brace from surgeon Dean Fulford and another goal from Mark Fox in the team's opening group game yesterday.

The team's next game is against Sweden tomorrow before a final group match lining up opposite Belarus.

These are the 20th World Medical Football Championships and Britain is one of 16 teams.

LATEST: The British team went 1-0 up against the Swedes in their second game thanks to a goal by Brij Patel but eventually lost 2-1. Their final group game is against Belarus today (Tuesday).
