What's coming up at the RCGP 2021 online conference - Dr David R Williams confirmed

The RCGP two-day virtual event takes place next month with keynote speaker Dr David R Williams, Professor of African and African American Studies at Harvard University, now confirmed.

The first major RCGP event of 2021 will take place on 11 - 12 February 2021 under the theme A Fresh Approach to General Practice.
It will feature over 40 concurrent sessions, focusing on clinical updates, GP health and wellbeing, GP careers, medical education and hot topics in general practice. The event also features essential CPD sessions on adult and child safeguarding and basic life support.
The conference will provide a platform to network with peers and put questions to healthcare leaders. There will also be an electronic poster gallery to showcase inspirational initiatives and research.

Plenary speakers

Opening the conference with the Chair's Address will be RCGP chair Professor Martin Marshall, who will also be joined by Dr Mark Britnell, Global Chairman & Senior Partner, Healthcare, Government & Infrastructure, at KPMG, who will speak on new ways to tackle the NHS workforce shortages.
The popular NHS Question Time session will feature lively topical debate from a panel including NHS Chief People Officer Prerana Issar, Chief Executive of the National Association of Link Workers Christiana Melam, and Professor of Health Systems Innovation, London South Bank University Becky Malby.
Dr David R Williams, an internationally recognised social scientist, will deliver the closing keynote speech.

Early Bird delegate rate

To make the conference more accessible in light of current pressures, the RCGP has frozen Early Bird delegate rates and will make conference content accessible after the event has taken place. Attendees will be able to access all 46 sessions on demand - available for six months after the event at no additional cost.
