GPs and junior doctors joined tens of thousands of trade unionists and anti-austerity campaigners on Sunday to protest outside the Conservative party conference in Manchester.

GP members of Unite's Medical Practitioners' Union were among NHS workers who joined the march against government public spending cuts and proposed changes to trade union legislation.

A large contingent of junior doctors was protesting againt the government's proposed contract imposition.
