Video exclusive: RCGP chairwoman calls for 'revolution' in the NHS

RCGP chairwoman Dr Clare Gerada has called for 'actuaries, risk-adjusters and share-holders' to be thrown out of the NHS, in her keynote speech to the RCGP conference in Liverpool.

She said that GPs leading commissioning under the NHS reforms should ‘resist the encroachments of the market’, allow GPs to focus on patient care, and co-operate with each other to improve services.

Watch the video of her speech to see her message to clinical commissioning groups and the audience reaction.
