Scottish LMCs to debate salaried-only service

LMC representatives in Scotland are to debate whether to move to a salaried service.

The issue is one of many on the agenda at the annual Scottish LMCs conference in Clydebank on 12 March.

Others include:

  • Should we introduce a tax on chocolate as a way of addressing Scotland’s obesity epidemic?
  • Could more be done to safeguard electronic patient records?
  • Should boards be allowed to withdraw or significantly change hospital and community services without consultation with general practice staff and patients?
