Research Briefs: Human endorphins stronger than morphine

The human body can produce a natural painkiller several times more potent then morphine, claim French researchers. They found in tests with rats that the chemical opiorphin, which the researchers have isolated in human saliva, was able to curb pain at a much lower concentration then morphine (P Nat Acad Sci Online).
