RCN dignity film wins international award

An educational film commissioned by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has won a Gold World award at the New York Festival's International Film and Video Awards 2009.

The I-MOTUS-produced film forms part of the RCN's 'Dignity: at the heart of everything we do' campaign, which aims to provide nursing teams with practical tips and skills to maintain and promote dignity in the workplace.

It was produced in partnership with Help The Aged.

Dr Peter Carter, chief executive and general secretary of the RCN, said: ‘The dedication, passion and enthusiasm of individuals at the RCN, Help The Aged and I-Motus has resulted in a film which accurately illustrates how people feel when they don't receive dignified care, while providing examples of how nursing staff across the UK are already leading the way in providing the best possible care.'
