15.6 Metabolic Problems

This section of our curriculum guide refers to statement 15.6, Metabolic Problems, produced by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP).

Metabolic problems, such as obesity, diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, dyslipidaemia and endocrine disturbances are a central part of the GP workload. The prevalence of obesity has trebled in the UK over the past 20 years and with this come the associated clinical problems.

Here we have collated key articles from our journals to help you meet the curriculum requirements in this area.
