Practice celebrates Olympic wins by GP's sons

Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee's Olympic triathlon success has been celebrated by staff at the West Yorkshire practice where their GP mother Dr Cath Hearnshaw works.

Staff at the West Lodge Surgery in Farsley, West Yorkshire, celebrated the Brownlees' gold and bronze medals in the London 2012 Olympic men's triathlon by erecting banners at the practice.

Practice manager Angela Gelder said staff were very proud of Dr Hearnshaw’s sons’ achievements.

'We are so proud to have the mum of the boys as one of our doctors and the patients have been contacting the surgery expressing their support and congratulating Dr Hearnshaw,' she said.

The practice has put up photographs of the brothers and messages of congratulation around the practice.

‘We are very proud to congratulate Dr Hearnshaw and family on Alistair and Jonny Brownlee winning the London 2012 Olympic Triathlon gold and bronze medals,' the banners read. 'Well done, Dr Hearnshaw’s sons!’
