Play explores limits of medicine

A 'clinical romance' starring Billie Piper (co-star Jonjo O'Neill) opened in London this month.

The Effect, at the National Theatre until February 2013, follows two people taking part in a clinical trial and explores neurology and the limits of medicine.

It is the latest from Lucy Prebble, who also penned the award-winning play Enron.
