Ros Moore starts work on 3 March 2009 and plans to drive forward the work for the NHS Next Stage Review and ensure Connecting for Health continues to improve care for patients and support staff in their goal of high quality care.

Ros started her nursing career at Pinderfields General Hospital, Wakefield, west Yorkshire, and was one of the first nursing directors of NHS Direct. Most recently she has been professional officer to the Chief Nursing Officer.

She said: ‘Health informatics is central to the aspirations of the Next Stage Review. I have first-hand experience of how technology-based innovations can really improve the quality of life for patients and want to deliver these messages across the nursing community.'
