Nottinghamshire GPs win bid to run APMS practice

Local GPs have won the contract to provide a new APMS practice in Nottinghamshire.

GP-run firm Central Nottinghamshire Clinical Services (CNCS) already provides out-of-hours care in the county. It will now also operate a new primary care centre in the under-doctored area of Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

Nottinghamshire County Teaching PCT said that it chose CNCS because of its ‘high quality and innovative bid'.

The new centre is being funded by a £1.1 million grant from the DoH's community hospital fund. It will open from 8am-8pm on weekdays and Saturday mornings.
