News in brief: Outstanding service award to commemorate GP

An annual award for outstanding service to GP practice in Leicestershire is to be made in the name of the late Dr Stephen Farley.

The Ibstock GP committed suicide in January 2004 after an investigation by Charnwood and North West Leicestershire PCT into his referral rates. Patients will vote on who receives the award.
