GPs should advise asthmatic patients to use a combination device ahead of separate inhalers, according to the latest NICE guidance. The draft technology appraisal on the use of corticosteroids recommends that for people in whom treatment with low-dose inhaled corticosteroids and long-acting beta-2 agonists is appropriate, the use of a combination device is recommended.
