News in brief: Genetics in primary care

The Primary Care Genetics Society (PCGS) was launched this month, with the first conference scheduled for February 2007.  

GP Dr Imran Rafi, a member of the executive council, said: ‘We have a group of people who are keen to see that primary care practitioners have the confidence and expertise, through educational programmes, to deal with clinical genetics relevant to primary care.’
