News in brief: Arthritis care wins national recognition for GP

Shropshire GP Dr Paul Gardner has been given a Healthcare Champions Award by the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.

He was nominated by patient Emma Suddaby, who said: ‘Over the past nine years he has provided me with fantastic support and advice and been there to help me live with this difficult disease.’
