Market welcomes hi-speed AltiMed service!

ALTIMED’S new 72-hour service for prescription made-to-measure stockings has been widely welcomed by pharmacists, patients and clinicians across the UK.

Earlier this year AltiMed launched a five-day service for its Altiform stockings and the response was described by managing director Rene Foulquies as phenomenal. But it seems the company has surpassed even that reaction.

An enhancement to the service came when AltiMed further reduced the turnaround time to a revolutionary 72-hours. The move was backed up by extensive research into the needs of the pharmacists, patients and clinicians who use the products.

“Since launching the 72-hour turnaround service we’ve undertaken continuous research to gauge reaction and received nothing but praise,” said Rene Foulquies.

“Pharmacists like the reliability of our service and tell us that patients repeatedly request Altiform stockings because of the fast turn-around promise, as well as the quality of the product. Clinicians report that the order-to-collection time is impressive and the quality of the stockings is very good.

“The decision to reduce our turnaround time from five to three days was not taken lightly; we had to be sure we could deliver quicker without compromising the excellent quality of our product.

“Many made-to-measure compression stocking products can take four to six weeks to despatch. The slow and unreliable service offered by some alternative suppliers was a worry to clinicians and a headache to pharmacists who have to chase orders on behalf of their patients who need their stockings as soon as possible,” he added.

Altiform stockings have a number of innovative features such as advanced fibres that make them softer and easier to put on.

Altiform stockings are made in AltiMed’s state of the art factory in Leicestershire and are now available on FP 10 Drug Tariff.
