LMCs split on DoH extended hours contract deal

LMCs across England are split over whether GPs should accept or reject the DoH contract deal on extended hours.

Dr Trefor Roscoe, GPC representative for South Yorkshire, said that in Yorkshire over four separate meetings involving 500 GPs there was a two-to-one vote to reject, with a 10-12 per cent abstention rate.

‘From other meetings it is clear that it is not the general picture,' he added.

A Liverpool LMC meeting backed the DoH deal.
