Letters, calls and emails: Why locum pay will lag behind GMS rises

Perhaps the reason locum pay lags behind principals’ pay is that they are locums and not principals (GP, 19 January).

Dr Fieldhouse’s bleating about equivalent earnings should take into account that GPs run a business and locums turn up, see patients and leave.

If he wants more money he should get a proper job.
