Letters, calls and emails: Only a Puritan would object to wine poster

Dear Editor

I am amazed at the letters criticizing the BMA poster showing a GP doing some paperwork at home with a glass of wine (GP, 31 August).

Shock horror! The responses remind me of H L Mencken's famous remark that a Puritan is one who suspects 'somewhere someone is having a good time'.

My advice is simple: get a life.
