Letters, calls and emails: Less focus on contact, more on score charts

Dear Editor

I read the satirical letter by Dr Anita Sharma (GP, 3 November) and although she was obviously exaggerating, I agree.  

It is a scary vision of what quality framework ‘tick box medicine’ could lead to: an absence of doctor–patient contact, clinical decisions based on score charts and patients reduced to collections of diagnostic labels.
