Letters, calls & emails: Now my computer tells the user where togo

Dear Editor

I work part-time now and came to my computer after a few days' absence to find that someone else, who understood it less well than me, had had problems.

I am sure we all have gripes about our systems but this one seems to delight in asking for three or four presses of the mouse button to do the job of one press of the enter button, so it is not too popular.

Whoever had used mine had loaded up about 10 versions of the software which were displayed in little boxes across the bottom of the screen.

When I tried to use it a polite little message came up 'This program is being debugged; if you wish to resume what you were doing please turn debugger off.'

Dr Chad Smith, Coventry.
