Letters: BMA chair should resign after polyclinic U-turn

Most hard-working GPs and BMA members are severely disappointed by BMA chairman Dr Hamish Meldrum, who put in a successful bid for a polyclinic in east Yorkshire after months of opposition to polyclinics.

His bid has severely damaged the credibility of the medical profession and BMA in the eyes of the public.

Dr Meldrum must now do the honourable thing and resign from the BMA chair and redeem his and the BMA's honour.

Dr Vijay Bansal, Warrington, Cheshire.
