Letter: Locum insurance is a tax-neutral exercise

Dear Editor

Regarding Mr Redmayne's letter on locum insurance (GP, 10 March), if the benefits of locum insurance are taxed, the tax can be clawed back when submitting the costs of paying a locum, making it a tax neutral exercise.

Or am I missing a point somewhere?
