Letter: Calls & Emails - Does Mrs Hewitt share pay with civilservants?

Dear Editor

One wonders why Patricia Hewitt told the hostile nurses to have GPs' income shared out with them.

After all, she doesn't share her income out with her departmental staff.

No other organisation would regard this as a reasonable suggestion; if you own a garage dealership, you don't share out your profits with the people who do the work in the garage.

So why does Patricia Hewitt pick on GPs?

The government abused us with sleep deprivation, until European directives forced it to stop. In other words, it got away with it for as long as it could.

How much longer do we have to put up with this poisonous woman?

Dr Paul J Searle, Eaton Socon, Cambridgeshire.
