Hundreds of practices reveal their rates for negotiable GP fees

More than 500 GPs and practice managers have shared their rates for private and professional fees to help practices receive a fair price for their services.

The average rates on the top twenty most regularly charged fees will be available to all UK practices on the new practice management website Medeconomics.co.uk.

The new Medeconomics website, from the publishers of GP magazine and MIMS, will replace the Medeconomics section of GPonline.com.

The average rate charged will appear in the relevant entry for each GP service on the popular Medeconomics Database of GP Fees.

The database has been completely overhauled to improve the navigation, with a new search function alongside the A-Z listing.

Each entry now includes guidance on claiming the fee and tips on how to maximise income for different professional and private services.

The site has been developed as a specialist business resource to provide practical, accessible advice and information on all the important factors affecting the life of a busy general practice.
