GPs invited to educational music event for artists and scientists

GPs with an interest in music are invited to an educational event in London by a charity aiming to bring together artists, scientists and the public, to examine the effects of music and other art forms upon the human mind, brain and body.

Worcestershire GP Dr Bruce Herriot is involved with the charity Musical Brain which has organised the Why music? Is music different from the other arts? event at the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London WC1N 3BG on 7 October.

The conference includes an evening concert with Ian Brown, piano, and the Sacconi Quartet playing Haydn, Schubert, Barber, Beethoven and Elgar at St Pancras Parish Church, Euston Road, NW1 2BA
