GPC draws up an action plan over the pay freeze

The GPC will meet LMC secretaries and undertake a national survey of GPs in response to the pay freeze.

A joint GPC/LMC secretaries meeting will take place in London on Thursday 19 April, the day GPC would normally meet.

It will discuss the profession’s response to the zero pay award and the state of general practice in the UK. Guidance on work that  practices can boycott is expected in the next fortnight.

The GP survey will ask GPs about the state of general practice and the problems facing the NHS.
