GP reaction to the GPs Behind Closed Doors TV documentary

GPs across the UK tuned in to Channel 5 to see how their colleagues in a south east London surgery faced the daily pressures of life in a fly-on-the-wall TV documentary - how did they do?

In the first of four episodes, Channel 5 filmed the practice’s six doctors and two healthcare practitioners treating some of the 1,400 patients seen at the Lewisham surgery each week.

Dr Chrisanthan Ferdinand, a GP at the practice, said he hoped the series would have a positive impact on the perception of general practice. But how did colleagues and patients respond on social media?
