GP Newspaper reporter shortlisted in national magazine awards

GP news reporter Tom Ireland has been shortlisted for a New Business News Journalist of the Year Award.

He is one of a shortlist of 9 including representatives of Media Week, Inside Housing, www.propertyweek.com, Chemistry World, New Civil Engineer, Chemist and Druggist and Computer Weekly.

Tom joined GP in September 2007. The story which was the highlight of his citation was an exclusive about GPs facing charges for patient visits to A&E which was also picked up by The Times.

The awards are organised by the Periodicals Training Council. They will be presented at London’s Millennium Mayfair hotel on 14 November.
