Why should I attend a MIMS conference?
Our events will help you meet the learning requirements of the RCGP curriculum, for the MRCGP exam, CPD and revalidation. The focus of the day is on an interactive learning experience in a relaxing atmosphere surrounded by your peers. The content is strong evidence-based medicine including therapeutic updates, recent guidelines and advances in specific clinical areas. The conferences include practical sessions such as case studies, interactive ‘how to’ sessions, red flags and top tips for the daily clinical practice of a busy GP. The speakers are respected and well known clinicians and GPs or GPs with a special interest. We are committed to quality education through our conferences and to cover your learning needs fully.
How is the programme put together and the speakers selected?
The topics and the speakers are independently selected by the editorial advisory boards and editorial consultants of MIMS, MIMS Dermatology and GP newspaper. The topics are based on and linked to the RCGP curriculum statements. The programme has been designed to offer you the chance to interact and learn from the experiences of fellow clinicians and GPs.
Will I receive a Certificate of Attendance?
Following attendance of an event such a MIMS conference, each delegate will receive a Certificate of Attendance. The certificate has a Record of Learning Log on the reverse to enable delegates to record their learning outcomes. Additionally, the Certificate can be used within a Personal Development Plan (PDP) for revalidation purposes.
How many CPD credits can I earn by attending?
You will earn 6 CPD credits per event with a learning points/impact certificate. You can also find more information about revalidation on our revalidation online resource.
The GP Curriculum Centre is signposted by the RCGP as a relevant educational resource for the learning and teaching of the GP curriculum. Find a range of resources to help you meet the learning requirements of the RCGP curriculum, for the MRCGP exam, CPD and revalidation. For information on how to use the curriculum centre, and for quick links to all of the statements, visit our GP Curriculum Centre.
