The iPad edition of GP magazine has been shortlisted for a prestigious media award, recognising digital innovation in publishing for business and professional audiences.

The fully interactive GP iPad edition combines the feel of a magazine with sophisticated note-taking, bookmarking and search functionality, to help doctors meet new CPD requirements.

Since launching in December 2012, the app has consistently received five-star reviews from more than 160 user ratings on the App Store Newsstand.

The annual awards of the Periodical Publishers Association are the most coveted in the UK publishing world, this year attracting more than 600 entries from over 100 media companies.

GP’s iPad edition was among five new products shortlisted in the Digital Innovation of the Year (Business) category, alongside one of its sister products Medeconomics.

The website, launched in September 2012, provides specialist management advice for practices on a cutting-edge platform that 're-designs' itself to fit the screen size of the user's device.
