GP iPad edition shortlisted as digital innovation of the year

The iPad edition of GP has been shortlisted as digital innovation of the year by the Medical Journalists' Association (MJA).

The app, which won App of the Year (Business Media) at the Professional Publishers Association (PPA) Digital Awards last year, is free to download for GP readers. The iPad edition of GP is also available three days ahead of the print version and includes extra features.

The app is shortlisted alongside two BBC projects and one by the Guardian. The award is presented tomorrow (Wednesday 9 July) at a ceremony at BMA House in central London.

GP editor Neil Durham said: 'The GP team is delighted to be shortlisted alongside the BBC and the Guardian for this award. It's fantastic to be recognised in this way by the MJA but the key to the app's success continues to be the hundreds of positive reader reviews we've received from our GP audience.'
