Free advice clinics for women

Women in North East Essex are being offered free health advice at specially arranged clinics.

The Well Women's Advice Clinics are being held on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at Colchester Cornerstone, between 10.30am and 1.30pm.

Women can book a free 30-minute session where they can receive specialist advice on health issues, such as the menopause and HRT.

Specialist nurse Mary Davies said: "Women can come to these clinics to discuss any health issue that may be concerning them.

"The service is open to all women and you don't have to be referred by a GP to get an appointment.

"The clinics are held in the strictest confidence and the feed back we get from the women who attend is fantastic.

"We can help with most issues but if there's something we don't know we certainly know someone who can and we will point people in the right direction."

The clinics are advisory only and no medical treatments or tests are available.

Anyone who would like to make an appointment should telephone 01206 574256
