3 July 2007, Luton – The smooth and successful introduction of our new supply and delivery service (announced in April 2007) is critical for us and our customers. We have therefore taken the decision to extend our implementation phase to early 2008.
We are pleased with the progress we are making with our agents AAH Pharmaceuticals Limited and UniChem Limited. The decision to extend the implementation phase has been made internally at AstraZeneca and is not a reflection of either company’s performance.
We have decided to extend the implementation phase to achieve the following benefits:
- More support for our customers – giving them more time to ensure they have accounts with our agency partners
- Ensuring that the new supply and delivery system is robust and provides the service that our customers need
- More consultation with our customers – gaining their insight on how we can help them to help patients gain the maximum benefits from their medicines
- We will align all aspects of the new arrangements with our own internal structures, which are changing as a result of our ongoing internal organisational review to make our business much more customer-focussed
We are committed to taking responsibility for ensuring that a modern and simplified supply and delivery service is in place for all community pharmacies, dispensing doctors and hospitals, so the right medicine, often for serious conditions, is delivered to the right place, for every patient, every single time.
We have written to our customers to keep them informed. If customers have queries regarding our new supply and delivery service they should contact AstraZeneca Customer Services on 01582 837837 or email@example.com.
