Exclusive: Doubts over screening, immunisation and emergency planning

Screening is 'a complete mess', immunisation close behind and emergency planning 'a disaster waiting to happen', according to Dr John Middleton, the Faculty of Public Health vice president.

Watch the video to hear Dr Middleton discuss health and wellbeing boards, need for extra alcohol funding, for the NHS and local authorities to pool resources and the effects of coalition government reforms.

Dr Middleton was speaking at an RCGP roundtable on commissioning at the college's new central London headquarters on Tuesday. GP was the exclusive media partner for the event.

Watch this video to see GPC chairman Dr Laurence Buckman reveal how many clinical commissioning groups he thinks will find it very difficult to operate and why.

Watch this video to discover RCGP chairwoman Professor Clare Gerada's vision for commissioning, whether she thinks it is a 'minority sport', how 'peloton' leadership might work and how the RCGP is changing.

A full report from the two-hour roundtable will appear in the next issue of GP, dated 7 January.
