With Christmas fast approaching and people starting to plan their diaries around the festivities, it is important to point out to patients the dangers of excessive drinking and binge drinking.
This website, from the National Agency on Alcohol Misuse, aims to reduce the incidence of alcohol-related harm, and to increase the range and the quality of the services available to people with alcohol-related problems by providing a range of courses, workshops and conferences for healthcare professionals. The website also contains several documents about the treatment of alcohol abuse, for example psychological therapies, complementary therapies, and self-help.
