DoH appoints new diabetes tsar

The DoH has announced that Dr Rowan Hillson is to be the new diabetes tsar.

Dr Hillson is a consultant physician and diabetologist at The Hillingdon Hospital, west London, where she and colleagues have established a diabetes service.

She replaces Dr Sue Roberts, who is retiring from both her post as a consultant with Northumbria NHS Trust and as national clinical director for diabetes.
