Britain's Best Junior Doctors will test junior doctors on five rounds of questions in a half-hour show hosted by comedian Jo Brand and in-house clinical expert Dr Helen Lawal.

Each show will pit two teaching hospitals against each other - with a team of junior doctors from each facing questions across five rounds.

The first show airs on BBC2 at 7.30pm on Monday 25 June, with further knock-out rounds daily leading up to a final round on Friday, when Britain's Best Junior Doctors will be crowned.

Inspiring doctors

The BBC is running the show as part of its commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the NHS.

Eight teams will take part in total, with the two highest-scoring winning teams from shows throughout the week returning for Friday’s final. The winning team will be awarded a 'golden stethoscope and the prestigious title of Britain’s Best Junior Doctors'.

Teams will feature doctors from all medical specialties, from doctors planning careers in neurology to -potentially - general practice.
