BMA attacks Coffey plan for pharmacists to issue antibiotics without GP prescription

The BMA has hit out at reports that health and social care secretary Therese Coffey plans to allow pharmacies to issue antibiotics without patients being first seen by a GP, saying such a move would 'put patient safety in jeopardy'.
