90% of south of England is now commissioning

More than 90 per cent of practices in the south and east of England are receiving incentive payments for practice-based commissioning (PBC), but take-up in the north and Midlands remains lower.

Just 71 per cent of practices in the five northern and Midlands SHAs have signed up.

The lowest rate of take-up is in the West Midlands, where 60 per cent of practices are taking part.
South West SHA has overtaken London as the region with the highest rate of take-up, with 94 per cent of practices receiving payments.
