Web-based toolkit launched for practice nurses

Practice nurses in Scotland are to be given access to the latest clinical information to help their daily work, after NHS Education for Scotland (NES) launched a web-based nurse toolkit.

The toolkit will provide access to the latest information on supporting practice nursing in Scotland, clinical resources, supporting care and practice and learning and development.

Helen Mackinnon, director of Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals at the NES, said: ‘This toolkit has been developed taking into consideration aspects of practice that nurses have identified and provides quick and easy access to appropriate information using internet.’

RCN Scotland director Theresa Fyffe added: ‘This is a great resource for all practice nurses and those thinking of a career in practice nursing.

‘It brings together a vast array of useful and up-to-date information, which will help nurses in their day-to-day work and give them a central resource to which they can easily refer.’
