The survey is a joint project, implemented by deaneries at a local level and co-ordinated nationally by the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board and the Conference of Postgraduate Medical Deans.

The survey provides a national picture of trainees’ perceptions of their training posts and offers invaluable and direct information to help shape the future of postgraduate medical education and training in the UK.

All trainees in approved training posts will receive an invitation email requesting completion of a survey form starting with the pilot site NHS West Midlands Workforce Deanery and followed by rollout across the UK.

Emails will be sent out in January and February 2009 and the results will be published in April.
