Stark images published that warn of smoking risk

The DoH has revealed images that will be printed on cigarette packets to warn smokers of health risks they face.

It will be illegal to sell packs of cigarettes not carrying the pictures in the UK from October 2009, and no tobacco products will be sold without the images from 12 months after that date. Cigarette packets currently carry text-only warnings. View all the images at www.dh.gov.uk.
