The Roundtable on Climate Change and Poverty in the UK includes Oxfam GB and Friends of the Earth, alongside seven other groups.

It believes that the government cannot choose between tackling poverty and climate change as these are related issues, addressed together and must be tackled now.

The group’s recommendations include improving household energy efficiency, the promotion of sustainable public service provision and investing in a more environmentally friendly public transport system.
