PCTs questioned on contraceptive services

The DoH is asking PCTs to detail the state of their contraceptive services. PCTs are being asked to complete a web-based questionnaire which asks for figures on sexually active populations, rates of teenage pregnancy and abortion and contraceptive prescriptions, by 13 March. Some PCTs and services will be visited to collect more detailed information. The DoH will publish guidelines based on the results in the spring. But it is also asking PCTs to use the results of their own audits to address any gaps in local service provision.
