Oakapple provided with £60m funding

Leeds-based Oakapple Group has announced the formation of the ‘First Oakapple Primary Care Partnership’ which will enable it to cement its position as one of the UK’s leading healthcare developers.

In the first strategic alliance, MedicX Fund is providing an initial £60m to fund the purchase of the company’s completed properties and finance its pipeline of properties for the next three years.

MedicX Fund has a full listing on the London Stock Exchange and has £160m of equity and debt to invest in high quality primary care properties.

Philip Taylor, Chairman of the Oakapple Group, said, “MedicX Fund recognised the high quality of the centres we develop and naturally we are delighted to have been chosen to work with them to provide the buildings.”
