Nurse conference to tackle 'challenges for general practice'

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) practice nurse conference begins in Plymouth tomorrow, with nurses set to discuss the challenges facing the profession.

The three-day conference is due to take place from June 24 to 26 at Plymouth Pavilions, with delegates travelling from all over the UK.

Practice nurses will look at the potential impact of the expanding role of healthcare assistants in primary care and hear from RCN primary care nurse adviser Lynn Young about how the face of the sector is changing.

Healthcare Republic will be reporting all the news from the conference later this week.
