NI nurses win full pay rise

Nurse in Northern Ireland are to receive the full 2.5% pay rise back-dated from 1 April.

This means that only nurses in England will have to wait for the full award recommended by the Independent Pay Review Body. They have received 1.5% so far with a further 1% in the Autumn.

Northern Ireland’s health minister Michael McGimpsey that all NHS key workers would receive their full recommended award.

The RCN welcomed the news and thanked the Northern Ireland Executive for their support.
