Calculating pension

- Q: I keep hearing that from 2007/8 NHS pension dynamising factors are the inflation rate plus 1.5%. What is the inflation rate since 2007/8 to date? Can you work it out for me so that I can apply it to my income to work out my pension?

NHS pension reduction

- Q: Can you clarify for me the accrued rights of current NHS Pension Scheme (NHSPS) in regard to actuarial reduction, currently 5% per year for every year below 60. If the retirement age goes to 65 or above would this mean two separate calculations, for example, no loss if retiring at 60 on the years prior to any change and then presumably 5% per year for every year below 65 on the years after the change. Is this already safe or being negotiated?

Pension payments refund

- Q: I am a GP partner who has paid into the NHS Pension Scheme (NHSPS) since starting work in 2003. With all the proposed changes to the NHSPS I am considering my options. If I decide to leave it, can I get my contributions to date refunded or moved to another scheme?
